Alex has just completed a unique commission – a bespoke design to protect a bell purchased by the client. After discussing ideas with his brother Ed, they settled on a design inspired by forked trees, which became the foundation for the structure.
The forked trees were sourced from windfallen sweet chestnut, carefully selected by Alex and Dad, Dave. This natural material brought a strong organic aesthetic to the project. To finish the roof Alex chose cedar shingles to complement the curved roof framework, made from sweet chestnut and oak.
Alex’s passion for working with sustainable, organic materials, and the Brooks’ commitment to creating pieces that harmonise with the environment are clear to see.
