Tree trunk slice coffee tables showcasing the captivating spalted beech & brown ash.Spalted wood such as spalted beech and spalted ash have stunning and captivating tones and textures running through the grain, casued by the fungal growths which affected the trees during their growth and in most cases cause the trees to fall. This weekness in life is teh visual strength as decorative wooden furniture such as coffee tables, side tables, occasional tables and sof end tables such as the ones shown on my website.
My ‘Penn’ tree trunk slice coffee tables have a paint lacquered edge and black resin frame to give it a modern aesthetic, complimenting it’s organic rustic natural shape as a slice of tree.

The Penn tables in spalted Beech & spalted Ash are centre feature piece tree trunk slice coffee tables ideal for living or commercial spaces.
• Sculpture like in design each table has an organic figure – framed with dark resin
• All ironwork is hand forged by Alex Brooks Furniture
• A hard-wearing varnish has been applied to top surfaces
• Black resin is used for structure and aesthetics
• The size and shape of the tables is dictated by the tree it is sliced from: Approx sizes: Diameter = 500mm to 800mm / Height = 420mm
• The name of the local farm the original tree fell is ‘Penn’, hence the name
• Turnaround, approx. 8-12 weeks – made to order
• £600 – £1000 price depends on size and grain features.
