Pass maple tree trunk slice coffee table

The “Pass” table celebrates the end grain detail and features of a magnificent maple tree. It grew in the grounds of Wootton Fitzpaine manor and from the growth rings we can tell the tree is over 100 years old and therefore was probably planted by the Pass family who owned the manor and village at that time. The maple tree came down in a storm recently and the current owners kindly offered us the tree.

It is so interesting to think what may have happened at the time of each growth ring, and also how the stresses and strains of the trees life are shown in the features.

The metalwork is hand-made to follow the form down to the floor, with a brushed finish. Black resin has been used for structure and aesthetics. The edge has the ABF signature charred finish.

This organic, natural, rustic coffee table is a feature piece for living or commercial space.

The Fosse tables in Oak are centrepiece coffee style tables ideal for living or commercial spaces.
