For the first time I’m taking part in Devon Open Studios, from my home garden workshop in Seaton, Devon.

Devon Open Studios is the annual flagship event of Devon Artist Network. Every September members of the network, potters, painters, jewellery makers, wood workers, needle workers and creatives of every kind, open their doors and invite people in to discover their work.
Visitors can chat to the artists about their processes and inspiration. Work is also on sale and it can be a perfect opportunity to purchase unique artwork direct from the maker.

My Venue: E23
My intention is to exhibit current projects in progress, as well as a selection of finished pieces of furniture and samples of the unique wood I use – showcasing the stunning grain features, burrs and spalting.
Furniture from across my collections will be available to commission and buy throughout the event, and I’ll be onsite to chat through any projects and specific pieces of interest.

You’ll find Open Studios in almost every type of location, whether that’s private homes, garden sheds, cafes, galleries and more besides, some on high streets and industrial estates and others with staggering views of coast and countryside.
